London’s The Dorchester revealed its new Vesper Bar will open this December. Its opening comes just before the first-phase completion of the hotel’s most extensive transformation to date. Named in honor of the hotel’s many connections with James Bond, Vesper Bar reflects the Vesper Martini from Casino Royale.
Fleming, who stayed and dined at The Dorchester from the 1940s until his death, sees his legacy live on in the new bar, in former cocktail institution The Bar at The Dorchester. Designed by Martin Brudnizki, Vesper Bar features a bar with movie-star looks and a cast of talented bartenders. Highlighting timeless and signature cocktails inspired by The Dorchester, head bartender Lucia Montanelli leads the team to curate award-winning drinks.

Within the bar, guests enjoy delicious drinks and stunning designs. In addition to a 1930s Palladium leaf ceiling, the bar also features an upper area for more privacy. A series of Cecil Beaton pieces decorate the walls, paying homage to a long-standing relationship between the photographer and the hotel. The bar also boasts a dedicated Park Lane entrance and an outside terrace with views toward Hyde Park.
