InterContinental New York Barclay Hotel unveiled new programming for summer travelers, inviting guests to partake in experiences both in and out of the hotel. The historic hotel is located just steps from Grand Central Station and serves as the perfect home base for a summer vacation to NYC.
This summer, guests staying at The Barclay can choose from a variety of offerings, including:
Summer Picnic in the Park
Looking to unwind and take in the city’s green spaces? Book a luxury picnic in Central Park created by Pic-A-Picnic. The picnic includes a blanket, pillows, a table set for two and floral centerpieces. As for food, enjoy a charcuterie board and Barclay NIO ready-to-drink cocktails.
Glamping Under the Summer Stars
InterContinental Barclay partnered with Starlight Slumber Party to set up an in-room glamping experience in the Harold S. Vanderbilt Penthouse. Guests can choose from sleeping out on the large private terrace or in the comfort of the suite. The set up comes with themed tents, pillows, fairy lights, Champagne and a cheese board for adult campers or milk and cookies for the kids.
Summer Serenity
This two-night summer itinerary offers guests premium accommodations, a local welcome amenity, a V.I.P. dinner reservation for two at Central Park Boathouse, breakfast in bed, two complimentary sunset cocktails and V.I.P. passes to Summit One Vanderbilt for a bird’s-eye view of Manhattan.
Kick It at The Barclay
The Barclay is an exclusive partner of the New York City Football Club, NYC’s Major League Soccer team. Fans staying at the hotel will receive premium upgraded accommodations, a football-themed welcome amenity, two NYCFC scarves, two tickets to an NYCFC home match and a gift card to spend at the stadium.
B Green
In honor of the hotel’s Sustainable Hospitality program, travelers who book the B Green offer can enjoy EcoLux offerings while helping the World Sustainability Foundation. For every room booked, the foundation will plant 10 trees, and guests are welcomed with a card on seeded paper that can be planted to grow into local flowers. Guests will also enjoy a package-free local amenity featuring Barclay Honey from the rooftop apiary and two CitiBike day passes to help reduce their carbon footprint while visiting.
