Sports tourism wasn’t really a thing in the early 1990s. In those days it was a fairly big deal to catch an away game for your favorite team (let alone two or three games a season). But now travel is easier, making our world feel smaller, and I often find myself wanting to take advantage of sporting opportunities either connected to business trips or as a bonus for a personal trip.

Mexico City
Late March I made my way to Mexico City for Latin America’s largest tourism event, Tianguis Turistico. This was the first time in the event’s history that it was held in CDMX (as the locals like to call Mexico City). For anyone in travel, this is the not-to-be-missed event.

I think we can all agree in-person interaction is necessary, almost crucial, for our mental health. While we mastered communication via the internet over the past two-plus years, I think I speak for many when I say the re-introduction of in-person networking and business events has inspired me and become very exciting.
