Some Tasty Opportunities
My recent blogs (here and here) have shared my experiences with local food festivals that have gone virtual this year. The Oregon Chocolate Festival offered patrons several opportunities to enjoy chocolate in several forms and in pairings with different foods and drinks and showcased in several informative and entertaining videos. This past weekend, over what would have been the Oregon Cheese Guild's 17th Cheese Festival, we enjoyed the Guild's 2021 Fest-to-Go, and as with the recent virtual Chocolate Festival, found much to appreciate in this new COVID-conscious version.

United Airlines First to Purchase Sustainable Aviation Fuel for ORD
Chicago O’Hare International Airport will soon receive sustainable aviation fuel, all thanks to United Airlines, which became the first airline to purchase SAF for use at the airport, one of the largest in the United States. Neste, a producer of SAF, will provide up to 1 million gallons of its Neste MY Sustainable Aviation Fuel. The first supply arrived in August.
Cheese and Chocolate Tasting
I wrote last week about taking part in this year's Oregon Chocolate Festival, this 17th version reimagined in a virtual, online form. This week I got to delve further into the experience, beyond watching the numerous, informative videos about all things chocolate made available to those who purchased the $15 "entrance fee."
