Looking Forward to the Fourth
With the Fourth of July falling on a Tuesday this year, I’m looking forward to enjoying a four-day weekend. This weekend my husband and I also celebrate our seventh wedding anniversary. We decided to celebrate the holiday and anniversary weekend with a combination of time together, with friends and with family.

Trip to Tampa/Clearwater
It was a great time to escape snowy Chicago in early March and enjoy the sunny west coast of Florida. I enjoyed staying at Renaissance Hotel in Tampa, a terrific hotel adjacent to International Plaza and Bay Street dining. I was delighted to see the indoor mall was thriving and the upscale restaurants were in full festive mode with outdoor dining, music and lights. I took full advantage of the diverse cuisine and libations each evening after swimming in the lovely hotel pool during the day.
World Series
Those who read my last blog know I have been rooting for the Philadelphia Phillies to make it to and win the World Series. Well, if you aren’t a baseball fan, they did in fact make it to the World Series, but the outcome wasn’t what we hoped.
