If you’ve read my blogs before, you know how big a Philadelphia sports fan I am. With the Phillies season back in full swing, it was about time I made it to a game at Citizen’s Bank Park.

Last weekend my brother and I met his two friends at Stateside Live!, previously Xfinity Live!, for a pre-game drink before heading into the ballpark. To my delight, Stateside had this new canned drink I’ve been wanting to try, Super Lyte, which is a vodka-based “ade” that is inspired by the classic sports drink. I had been seeing advertisements and heard good things about it, so I was glad it lived up to the hype.

When it got closer to the start of the game, we walked across the street to enter the ballpark. We grabbed some drinks and a snack before heading up to the 300 level to find our seats. The Phillies started off hot with some hits and even a three-run home run by Brandon Marsh. The score was 3–0, so during the fourth inning we thought it would be fine to head to the bathroom and grab something else to eat. We also decided to wander around the stadium and see what the standing-room-only areas looked like around the stadium, but as we were walking down the stairs to the lower level, the Arizona Diamondbacks had a hot streak and ended up taking the lead.

We stopped in one of the standing-room-only areas for a little bit to see if anything else was going to happen before heading back to our seats to watch the rest of the game. Eventually the Phillies brought the score within one run, so we gained a little hope back. During the bottom of the ninth, the Phillies had some players on base and a couple hits that looked like they were going to be home runs, but in the end they just couldn’t pull out the win.

Even though the Phillies ended up losing the game, it still felt good to be back at CBP.
