The new SWISS First Lounge A opened in Zurich last week. The 7,000-square-foot space features check-in facilities, a security checkpoint, a restaurant and a bar. A chauffeur service joins the amenities this summer.
The lounge is open to first-class SWISS travelers and Lufthansa Group HON Circle members. It is accessible via the Terminal A departure concourse escalator.
The design is similar to the SWISS First Lounge in the same airport’s Terminal E, with lounge suites, a lounge club, a business zone, a meeting room, a relaxation room and a smokers’ lounge. The latter offers its own outside area and a choice of fine whiskeys. Design features include oiled-oak parquet flooring, limestone walls and Swiss-designed furnishings.
At the barista bar, guests enjoy specialty coffees and more than 100 Swiss grappas and brandies. The restaurant serves both an à la carte menu and a hibachi option.
The lounge is created with short-haul passengers in mind. Those traveling to long-haul destinations enjoy limousine transfer form Lounge A to the SWISS lounge in Terminal E, the departure point for long-haul flights.
The lounge is open daily, 5:30 a.m.–10:30 p.m.
