Southwest Airlines launched daily, non-stop service between Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT) and Houston’s William P. Hobby Airport (HOU) April 14. Flights depart from Houston at 1:35 p.m. and from Pittsburgh at 11:50 a.m. The airline operates the service with Boeing 737-700 aircraft. Southwest is currently building a $100 million international facility at William P. Hobby Airport and will begin operating flights to Mexico, the Caribbean and other Latin American destinations in 2015. Also on April 14, the carrier launched daily service to Charlotte (CLT), N.C. Flights depart from Houston at 11:45 a.m. and from Charlotte at 11:45 a.m. Daily, non-stop service to New York LaGuardia (LGA) will start in June.
