Southwest Airlines and China Airlines just launched interline ticketing to establish a transpacific transfer network and further expand the U.S.–Taiwan airline partnership.
On Aug. 20, Kevin Chen, president, China Airlines, and Bob Jordan, president and CEO, Southwest Airlines, signed a memorandum of understanding in Dallas, which will serve as a blueprint for future collaborations on frequent-flyer mileage and points accrual, codesharing, and co-branding to generate new synergies from the partnership of top Taiwanese and American airlines.
Now on sale, these interline tickets offer travelers seamless connecting flights to more than 100 cities across the United States, starting January 2026. This one-stop ticketing process also means convenient interline check-ins and baggage check-throughs.
Tickets can now be booked through China Airlines’ official website for China Airlines flights to the West Coast beginning Jan. 19, along with domestic legs on Southwest Airlines.
