The Ritz-Carlton New York, Central Park will launch an exclusive signature scent inspired by the city’s Central Park later this summer. Central Park is enlivened through the smell of 50 Central Park, the hotel’s signature scent by Antica Farmacista. The scent combines fragrant notes that can be found within Central Park, including elderflower, which blooms in the Reservoir South section in early summer; Mountain Mint, growing in August in Cherry Hill/Reservoir West; and strawberries, a nod to the iconic Strawberry Fields area of the park. The scent is reminiscent of all 843 acres of beauty found in the park. The scent will fill the hotel, from the grand Star Lounge to the penthouse suite. Guests can purchase a 50 Central Park-scented candle in the hotel gift shop for $48. Themed cocktails created by bartender Norman Buzkofzer are available at Auden Bar. The cocktail includes Greenhook Gin, crème de mint and mint and berry syrup. The ladies and gentlemen of the hotel decided on the final version of the scent in an anonymous voting process to ensure the scent truly embodied what they smell everyday.
