ARRIVAL/CHECK-IN: Pulling up to the beautiful Hyatt Regency Miami, I immediately felt a sense of relief after navigating Miami traffic. As I entered the curved drive, several attentive valet attendants quickly assisted with my luggage and guided me into the expansive lobby. The space felt vibrant and welcoming, highlighted by eye-catching purple neon lighting glowing from the ceiling. At the front desk I was warmly greeted and efficiently checked in by a friendly staff member who provided a cold bottle of water and all the information needed for a comfortable stay.
GUEST QUARTERS: Upon entering my room I was pleasantly surprised by its spacious layout. To the right sat a comfortable sofa and desk where I easily set up my laptop using the complimentary WiFi. A Keurig coffee machine and two bottles of water were also provided, a thoughtful touch not always included at many hotels. To the left was a large bathroom and beyond that a plush king-sized bed with a white-noise machine on the bedside table. The room also featured a generous walk-in closet and a mini fridge, perfect for keeping drinks chilled.
The highlight of the room, however, was the wall-to-wall oversized windows offering sweeping views of the Miami River, a beautiful backdrop to both sunset and sunrise.
SERVICES/AMENITIES: While exploring the property I discovered a heated outdoor pool and a well- equipped, 24-hour fitness center. The hotel also offers extensive meeting and event spaces, making it a convenient choice for both leisure and business travelers.
Dining options include Hyatt Market and Riverview Bar & Grill. While I didn’t dine at the hotel for dinner, I stopped by Riverview Bar & Grill beforehand and enjoyed a couple of refreshing mojitos overlooking the river. The following morning I had a delicious breakfast and grabbed a quick coffee from the on-site Hyatt Market before heading out.
TOP TAKEAWAYS:
- Spacious guestrooms with beautiful Miami River views
- Friendly, efficient service from arrival through departure
- Convenient downtown Miami location
