Renaissance Hotels, focused on supporting the next generation of business travelers by helping them discover unexpected cultural experiences, is slated to debut New York’s first digitally enhanced hotel in the heart of the Garment District this spring. The 348-room Renaissance New York Midtown Hotel will couple digital guest experiences with the brand’s wanderlust design philosophy.
“The Renaissance New York Midtown Hotel will be our flagship property and truly bring a ‘renaissance’ to the brand, melding the best of New York’s art, music and fashion into a creative and authentic experience for our guests,” said Tina Edmundson, global officer, luxury and lifestyle brands, Marriott International.
Highlights include unique digital experiences, such as stunning digital displays projected along the length of the block, specially curated digital imagery showcasing local artists and neighborhood experiences, a virtual concierge enabling guests to explore the city’s tourist trail with just the point of a finger and four-story LED screens illuminating the skyline from the top of the hotel.
