Strategically set on Tottenham Court Road in central London by St Pancras and University College Hospital, Radisson Blu Edwardian Grafton Hotel offers a convenient location in London’s West End with accommodations as vibrant as its neighborhood. While visiting the United Kingdom’s capital last summer, I had the pleasure of taking a respite from the heat and a busy itinerary in this boutique hotel, boasting an unrivaled location by several train stations that makes getting around the city easy.
When not hopping on the nearby Tube to explore the city, I relaxed and recharged in my modern, air-conditioned guestroom, featuring a double bed with crisp Egyptian cotton linen flanked by two stylish nightstands, designer Italian chairs surrounding a modest glass table from which I comfortably worked and a Sicilian marble bathroom. The room was cleaned spotless each day, with complimentary coffee, tea and water replenished daily. Convenient amenities included an iPod charger and ample electrical sockets throughout the room.
Though I didn’t have time to visit, the hotel’s signature restaurant, Steak & Lobster, was bustling throughout the day, serving quality steak and lobster as well as various sides. In the morning, the hotel breakfast includes an extensive hot section, a cereal station with several options, dried fruit, seeds and nuts, cold meats, smoked salmon, pastries and fresh breads and fresh juices.
For meeting and event planners, the hotel boasts 13 conference rooms, capable of hosting as many as 120 guests for any type of function from corporate meetings to weddings. Each event booking comes with the assistance of a dedicated events team as well as the latest AV and communications equipment.
The property is part of the Radisson Blu Edwardian, London, a distinctive collection of luxury hotels situated in prime locations in the heart of London and Heathrow. Like the Grafton property, many of the hotels are located within walking distance of popular attractions on London’s tourist trail and boast individually designed guestrooms and attentive service, making for comfortable, convenient stays in the city.
