The Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum plans to host its annual gala, For Love of Country, virtually, Dec. 5, 7 p.m., and free of charge.
Ahead of National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day on Dec. 7, travelers and locals across Hawai’i and the mainland are welcome to tune into the gala online or via Facebook Live — locals can watch on KHON — free of charge.
The event will honor four U.S. World War II veterans, including Admiral Chester Nimitz and Hawai’i native Col. Jack DeTour. The night of remembrance and high honors will continue with appearances and words from celebrity guests, including actors Treat Williams and Jon Seda. Guests can expect heartfelt tributes and live music.
Guests can purchase a virtual table and receive a beautiful centerpiece, homemade meal paired with hand-selected wine from Napa Valley and an expertly crafted dessert to finish — all from home while watching the event.
Each dollar raised at the For Love of Country Gala will be matched (up to $500,000) by Ray Foundation, providing essential support to protect America’s World War II Battlefield Museum.
