Universal Studios Orlando and Walt Disney World parks are in the process of reopening, after months closed.

Universal Studios Florida, Universal’s Island of Adventure and Volcano Bay reopened June 5, with some rules and restrictions. The theme park is limiting capacity and following social distancing throughout the parks, attractions, restaurants and shops. Cleaning procedures are more aggressive, with frequent sanitizing of high-touch surfaces, and there will be six-foot distancing marks for guests to follow. All team members underwent extensive training on the new procedures, are required to wear face coverings and get daily temperature checks.

Guests will be required to social distance, wear face coverings, undergo temperature checks and are expected to wash their hands and use the sanitizer stations. Another theme park getting ready to open its gates to guests is Walt Disney World. Disney plans for a phased reopening, starting with Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom (July 11), followed by EPCOT and Hollywood Studios (July 15). Although your visit to Walt Disney World may be a little different, Disney is working to create magical moments and lifelong memories.

Upon reopening, Disney will promote social-distancing techniques for guests and cast members. Face coverings and temperature screenings are required, and only guests with a reservation and a valid admission ticket will be allowed in.
