There is nothing quite like the great outdoors — the fresh air, the rustling of trees and the chirping of birds. Celebrate National Forest Week, July 13–19, with the National Forest Foundation. There’s still time to make it out to your closest forest to explore, but, if you can’t, don’t worry, the National Forest Foundation will host a series of online events. The foundation recognizes that, in the midst of a global pandemic, it can be hard for people to access a national forest, but it still wanted to give people a way to celebrate from home.
One way to participate is to share your national forest story with the foundation by posting on your social media accounts and using #NationalForestWeek to contribute to the celebration. Follow the accounts on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter to keep up with all the events, contests and live streams.
Take part in Q&As, live chats and more with members of the National Forest Foundation team, as well as other environmental companies; join the live forest meditation with Jess Blackmun, forest lover and yoga instructor; indulge in an eco-friendly happy hour; and join the gourmet s’mores cook-along with endangered species chocolate.
