It’s that time of year again — and while much of the country takes its scarves and snow boots out of storage, Miami heats up for Miami Art Week. This year’s event takes place from Dec. 6 to 10, when Spectrum Miami and Red Dot Miami present “Two Fairs Under One Roof” at Mana Wynwood Convention Center, an easy walk from restaurants, clubs and boutiques.

“We’re pleased to return to Mana Wynwood for what we expect to be an exceptionally busy Miami Art Week,” said Eric Smith, president,  Redwood Art Group. “Last year, we saw an attendance of more than 40,000 art enthusiasts and industry leaders, and we anticipate this year’s show to exceed that. Exhibitor space at both Spectrum Miami and Red Dot Miami has been in such high demand this year that we have been sold out since August, which is unprecedented. Attendees will enjoy the very best the fine art world and contemporary art industry has to offer, and we’re looking forward to welcoming everyone back to five days of eclectic art and discovery, with a couple of surprises in store.”

Spectrum Miami will showcase 200 galleries and both local and global artists, an art celebration augmented with curated programing, music, entertainment and special events. Red Dot Miami — a curated, gallery-only contemporary art fair — will feature more than 65 galleries representing an excess of 500 prominent artists. An Opening Night Preview on Dec. 6 kicks things off with hors d’oeuvres, musical entertainment and libations including Pommery Champagne.

The Somerset on Grace Bay Review

If you’re taking a large family getaway or a “friendcation,” regular hotel rooms might not cut it. Even if you book adjoining rooms or a more spacious suite, accommodations most likely still won’t have all of the amenities to make your stay as comfortable as it could be. But if your brood happens to be planning a beach getaway to Turks & Caicos, The Somerset on Grace Bay can provide an inviting oceanside home away from home.

Escape to Tahiti for a Captivating Island-Hopping Cruise

The 118 islands of French Polynesia reveal themselves layer by fascinating layer, with the spirit of mana (vital force) linking them all the way from Tahiti to the remote reaches of the Marquesas. This is part of the world best savored on a journey that dives as deep into culture as natural beauty, both above and below the water’s surface. A cruise makes it easy to cover a lot of ground while unpacking just once (and sneaking in some work done in comfort, too, during at-sea days). And cruising offers particular appeal within this semi-autonomous French territory sprawling across nearly 2 million square miles of ocean and covering five archipelagos.
