Meliá Orlando Celebration recently launched a partnership with Surfacide, the global leader in UV technology. Surfacide’s UV disinfection robots will clean all 289 guestrooms and indoor public spaces; the robots create an infection prevention approach with hospital-grade UV technology that kills 99.99 percent of pathogens on hard surfaces and in the air.
“Keeping our guests safe and healthy is our first priority at Meliá Orlando Celebration,” said Antonio Baez, general manager, Meliá Orlando Celebration. “We have made some amazing progress in guest safety over the last 18 months with the Stay Safe with Melia program, opening of 10 new Stay Well suites and now the addition of Surfacide, giving our guests the utmost confidence in their vacation experience.”
Surfacide’s proprietary three-tower Helios System provides a chemical-free added layer of protection for hotel guests and staff. It is the only patented, UV-C disinfection solution to use three light-emitting robots to kill viruses and microorganisms on surfaces and in the air in as little as five minutes. The robots will be used after each guest checks out or after any members of the staff leave a room.
