Marriott International and Starwood Hotels launch a double points promotion across their loyalty programs. This is the first joint loyalty promotion covering Marriott Rewards, The Ritz-Carlton Rewards and Starwood SPG programs.
This opportunity allows members to earn double points on their first three stays with Starwood SPG and double points on their first three stays with either Marriott Rewards or Ritz-Carlton Rewards, at participating properties. After the fourth stay, additional bonuses will unfold.
“For the first time, the three programs are offering the same promotional opportunity, giving members the chance to earn double points on their first three stays at participating hotels in each program,” says Marriott.
The offer follows the merger of Marriott International and Starwood Hotels and Resorts and links the loyalty accounts, match status and transfer points. Marriott’s chief executive officer Arne Sorenson promised both cohorts no ill will come from the merger, as the benefits from both of the programs will not be diluted.
Those who are members of both the Starwood SPG and either Marriott Rewards or The Ritz-Carlton Rewards programs have the opportunity to earn double points on six stays, then combine the points into one.
Members need to register for the promotion by March 15, 2017, and complete stays by April 15, 2017.
