This summer, guests staying at Casetta Firenze, a luxury farmhouse in the Chianti region of Tuscany, can book three culinary workshops led by experts in the art of pasta making, traditional Tuscan dishes and vegetarian cuisine. Each workshop offers a multicourse meal, local produce and complementary wine.
Pasta Lessons by Patrizia
Patrizia is Casetta’s resident cook and secret weapon in the kitchen. Her culinary style strongly aligns with the tradition of Italy and mixes in memories and beloved recipes her grandmothers passed down to her. During the pasta-making class, Patrizia shows her students how to make three different pastas, the most requested one being Tortelli di patate ai colori dell’estate (meaning Potato tortelli) covered in summer ingredients. Plenty of prosecco will be available for participants throughout the class.
A Traditional Tuscan Feast by Jeff
Resident Culinary Ambassador Jeff has been instructing and entertaining guests for a number of years in a professional teaching kitchen in his home. Now, he helps take guests’ cooking skills to the next level at Casetta Firenze with a menu of classical culinary dishes, stories, food history and fun. This multicourse class teaches guests various techniques in preparing an elaborate meal. Dishes include Fregnacce Maremmane, a festive dish featuring thin crepe pouches filled with ragu and stracchino cheese, and prosciutto-wrapped chicken cutlets filled with porcini mushrooms and capers.
Vegetarian Cuisine with Maggese’s Chef and Owner
Maggese, a charming vegetarian restaurant in the town of San Miniato, will host Casetta guests for cooking classes with chef and owner Fabrizio Marino. Learn about new Italian cuisine while enjoying some of the freshest ingredients. The experience is exclusive to Casetta Firenze guests, where participants learn cooking techniques, get a gastronomy background lesson and make a three- to four-course meal.

Mar 12, 2025Recharge with a Hollywood-Ready Spa Day at L’Ermitage Beverly Hills
While cooler and milder weather in Los Angeles means a pleasanter travel experience (particularly for a Floridian accustomed to humid summer heat), the drier weather also often means lingering and visual effects on the skin, something I began to feel the moment I stepped off my plane in the City of Angels. Low humidity and winter weather might be great for my hair, but my skin was tired and dry and eager for some much- needed nourishment and hydration.
