Luxury hotel company Jumeirah Group plans to grow its presence in Asia with the opening of three new luxury hotels and resorts across China. Set to open in 2016, the 250-room Jumeirah Nanjing will offer an all-day dining and Chinese specialty restaurant, café, lobby lounge, tea lounge, bar, junior ballroom, executive club lounge, business center, fitness center, spa and indoor swimming pool in the new Hexi business district. Slated to welcome guests in 2018, the 140-room Jumeirah Haikou Resort will include similar amenities within an exclusive golf community on a private island. Jumeirah Wuhan, with an anticipated opening date of 2020, will offer 200 guestrooms near the existing Hankou business district.
“We are delighted to be expanding our portfolio of hotels and resorts in China, which is a significant market for Jumeirah. We are honored to have been asked to operate these three new hotels in key cities, bringing our pipeline of new properties in China to eight, in addition to Jumeirah Himalayas Hotel in Shanghai, which has been operating successfully since 2011,” said Gerald Lawless, president and CEO, Jumeirah Group.
The hotel group currently operates 22 properties, including 11 in the Middle East, six in Europe and five in Asia, and has 11 hotels under development.
