JetBlue plans to increase Boston (BOS) service by more than 40 percent, to 200 peak day departures. It’s also launching a new non-stop flight to Atlanta (ATL), beginning March 30, 2017. “Boston travelers have spoken, and we are listening by adding Atlanta to our route map and expanding our operation to 200 peak day departures. After decades of being underserved by high-fare legacy carriers, Boston has an airline that is committed to offering the best service and most nonstop destinations of any other airline,” said Marty St. George, executive vice president commercial and planning, JetBlue. Atlanta is the airline’s 63^rd non-stop destination from Boston, making it the largest airline to operate out of the airport. After the launch, service from Atlanta extends to Fort Lauderdale (FLL), New York (JFK) and Orlando (ORL). An Airbus A320 is slated to serve the route. Flights depart Boston five times daily for Atlanta, at 6:10 a.m., 8:30 a.m., 1:10 p.m., 4 p.m., and 6:55 p.m. JetBlue additionally plans to add a fourth daily Mint flight between Boston and San Francisco (SFO) starting July 15, 2017. Mint service is expanded to every flight between Boston and San Francisco and Los Angeles (LAX) Sept. 21, 2016, and Nov. 18, 2016, respectively. The current seasonal services between Boston and Montego Bay (MBJ) and St. Thomas (STT) are extended year-round.
