According to a recent survey conducted by JD Power, Alaska Airlines and JetBlue Airways are North America´s best airlines. Alaska Airlines topped the list of traditional airlines and JetBlue was voted as the best discount airline, per the opinions of travelers who flew between April 2015 and March 2016. J.D. Power surveyed more than 10,000 passengers who had traveled aboard the nine largest airlines in North America and collected data regarding cost, in-flight services, baggage service and the overall registration process. In order to be considered among the nine airlines chosen for the surveys, the airlines had to generate an annual revenue of at least $1 billion and had to fly to at least 40 destinations in the United States and Canada. Results of the survey also revealed overall satisfaction with air travel in general is at a 10-year high, and that travelers have been more satisfied with recent air travel fares, legroom and baggage policies.
