After two years of uncertainty and a lull in travel, it’s time to start breaking out your snow boots, skis, hats and the rest of your winter gear to hit the slopes and spend time in the great outdoors. Even though you can always stay in a vacation home for winter trips, owning one is even better. For those looking to purchase a house, keep the findings from the report in mind.
Some of the key findings include under-the-radar winter destinations like Newry, Maine; Gatlinburg, Tennessee; and Deep Creek, Maryland. This could possibly indicate a rise in winter trips beyond the typical ski and snowboarding destinations that offer different winter activities.
The top five destinations to buy a winter vacation home include Newry, Maine; Gatlinburg, Tennessee; Poconos, Pennsylvania; Deep Creek Lake, Maryland; and Conway, New Hampshire.
Now is the best time to buy a vacation home for all lovers of winter travel. Vacasa reported an increase in daily rates for rentals in top markets this year so instead of dealing with higher prices every year, think about investing in your own property.
