Daily

Pumpkins, apples and turkey abound at the award-winning Milestone Hotel in London this fall. The London flagship of the Red Carnation Hotel Collection is embracing festive American traditions with a range of new indulgences for the season that have a fittingly British style, including a decadent chocolate themed-afternoon tea, a haunted Halloween dinner and a British-inspired Thanksgiving feast.

Guests who would rather trade candy for chocolate are offered the opportunity to enjoy chocolate-filled afternoon tea each day through Oct. 20. This indulgent tea session celebrates the trick-or-treating season and National Chocolate Week with chocolate eclairs, chocolate brownies, chocolate-covered marshmallows and a shot of white and dark chocolate mousse. Beer lovers will be treated to a chocolate porter from London-based Meantime Brewing Company through the month of October. The special tea is priced from $60 per person.

On Halloween night, the hotel’s 5-star restaurant Cheneston’s will host a special dinner featuring menu items inspired by the spooky All Hallows’ Eve feast. Dishes will include “Feast for the Beastly” braised belly of pork, “Brutally Bloodied” chestnut veloute, “Headless” roasted guinea fowl and “Beware of the Dark” roasted pumpkin tart. For dessert, diners will be treated to a “Sorcerer’s Secret” braeburn apple tart and “Trick or Treat” blueberry brulee. The prix-fixe dinner starts from $49 per person.

Cheneston’s will also feature a British-style Thanksgiving dinner on Nov. 26, serving hearty fare like truffled mac and cheese, barbecued ribs, cornbread and sausage stuffing and local Norfolk Bronze turkey as well as pumpkin pie. The British-American fusion feast starts from $76 per person.

Ideally situated near Hyde Park and Kensington Palace and Gardens, The Milestone Hotel offers a range of individually designed accommodations, including 44 guestrooms, 12 suites and six two-bedroom apartments, close to the city’s many iconic attractions.
