With an ever-growing and flourishing craft beer scene, Jacksonville, Florida, invites visitors and locals to embark on the Jax Ale Trail to experience some of the city’s finest and most beloved breweries. Home to dozens of local breweries, Jacksonville created the Jax Ale Trail to introduce guests to the craft beer scene in a fun way.
Whichever brewery guests start at, they will receive a Jax Ale Trail brewery passport, which will serve as a guide to the city’s local breweries. The passport can also be found at one of the city’s visitor centers.
The passport leads guests to enjoy unique experiences as well as acquiring free Ale Trail beer gear. Grabbing a drink at each brewery earns a stamp on the passport. Prizes for grabbing drinks at the breweries include koozies, a Jax Ale Train T-shirt and a secret prize.
Here are some of the city’s most popular breweries:
Established in 2010, Intuition Ale Works specializes in small-batch handcrafted ales. The brewery aims to create flavorful and creative beers. To create the ultimate experience, Intuition Ale Works partners with neighboring Black Sheep Restaurant, a fine-dining, modern American eatery for a delicious taproom menu.
In addition to a full-service restaurant, Wicked Barley features a tap room, covered patio, pet-friendly waterfront beer garden and boat dock for guests wanting to arrive by boat. This popular spot fills up on the weekend, with its more than 20 beers and ciders on tap, weekly live music shows and waterfront location.
Situated in the San Marco region of the city, Aardwolf not only welcomes adults but also dogs. The brewery sits in a former 1920s icehouse. Aardwolf offers food, outdoor seating and more than 20 options of beers.
With 50 tap lines and a pub menu, Engine 15 Brewing company crafts a selection of ever rotating original beers. Its on-site brewhouse ensures fresh beers and a diverse selection of flavors. Its original location sits in Jacksonville Beach, with an additional production brewery site downtown.

Apr 17, 2024Amansara Review
It was more than a car journey; it was a transition between worlds. At our first hotel in Siem Reap, huge coaches constantly pulled up outside the lobby to deposit or receive international tour groups; we departed in very different style, in a 1965 black Mercedes limousine once owned by King Sihanouk. The mundanities of mass tourism were left behind. We progressed through the chaotic Cambodian streets in regal comfort and soon arrived at a solid gate.
