Shopping for the holidays can be stressful — the pressure to find the right gift for a loved one, they don’t know what they want or the store is all out of the specific gift you are looking for.

Follow these tips to help make shopping a little easier this year.

Starting early and getting ahead of the game can really help in the long run. If those on your list already expressed what they want, why not buy it early? If you start now, there is a smaller chance the item will be out of stock and you will beat the holiday rush in stores and on shipping costs.

Don’t be afraid to ask for a wish list of gifts for the people you buy for. If you have a list to use as a base, you have a great starting point. Lists let you know exactly what that person wants and will save you the hassle of trying to guess. An added bonus? You won’t have to wonder if they will like the gift.

Lastly, don’t try to get it all done at once. If you have multiple people to shop for, try doing a couple each shopping trip. Buy one thing for each person at a time to easily keep track of your purchases.

Make sure you spread your shopping out over the holiday season so you aren’t running around at once.

High-Spirited Hong Kong: The Dynamic Hub Embraces Its Maritime History and Culture

It was known as the “Kai Tak heart attack” — the thrilling, terrifying final approach into Hong Kong’s Kai Tak Airport. Airliners were required to bank sharply at the last moment, dodging hills and apartment blocks to line up with a runway jutting out into Kowloon Bay. The airport is long gone, but international visitors are arriving at Kai Tak again, albeit more sedately. Their cruise ships dock smoothly at Kai Tak Cruise Terminal, a modern gateway designed by Sir Norman Foster.
