To offer travelers more convenience, Helsinki Airport will open the Ring Rail Line this summer, providing an easy connection between the airport and the Helsinki city center. The opening of the new rail line is part of the Finnish airport operator Finavia’s plan to develop the airport and be prepared to welcome 20 million passengers each year by 2020. With the new Ring Rail Line, travelers have a new travel alternative offering easy access to direct flights to 130 international destinations from Helsinki Airport.
“In addition to flying, you can simply come to Helsinki Airport to spend time,” said Ville Haapasaari, director, Helsinki Airport, Finavia. “In the terminal area accessible to all, there are cafes, a grocery store that is open 24 hours a day and a new restaurant world, which will open this spring. You can follow the hustle and bustle of the airport while sipping a cup of coffee or from the popular scenic terrace.”
