The company created playlists for nearly 1,000 cities, highlighting songs in each city that have high play-counts, analyzing a total of 20 billion listener-track relationships to help identify the songs that give the city its distinctive character.

Local acts receive a big boost from the towns they are played in, repping hometown heroes.
