Beginning July 1, Hainan Airlines’ frequent-flyer programme Fortune Wings Club will change the way it values point and mile accruals, improving overall value and flexibility for its most loyal customers.
Members will earn points based on ticket price and membership level rather than flight distance and class. The higher the ticket price, the more points a member will earn. Points earned from affiliate flights including Grand China Air, Tianjin Airlines and Lucky Air will also be based on ticket price and membership level.
Airline surcharges will also count toward point accrual. The higher the ticket price and membership level, the more points a member can earn.
The Fortune Wings Club will also change the award ticket redemption procedure to reduce restrictions on both the number of award seats available and redemption standards. The new method will provide more available seats at different redemption rates.
