It’s not very often I’m met at the entrance of a resort spa by Superman, his cape billowing ever so slightly in air currents created by an air conditioning vent. Located a short drive from Denver International Airport and the city, this 85-acre property provides a luxury resort setting that’s ideal for everything from layovers and leisure trips to business gatherings and full-on conferences. From the check-in level of the expansive lobby, magnificent, panoramic views of the Front Range of the Colorado Rocky Mountains pour through enormous glass window that stretch from the lobby to the Grand Lodge Level. Stone, wood and design touches celebrating the location’s local roots combine to create a relaxing and welcoming setting. This includes the award-winning Relâche Spa. Earth tones dominate in the supremely inviting relaxation lounges, while a wide range of body therapies and spa treatments provide seasonal offerings such as the Cactus Pear Collagen Facial and Orange Grove Body Renewal Wrap, featuring a coconut and citrus scrub followed by a moisture-drenching application of shea butter and clementine-scented oil.
