Travelers who frequent Hong Kong have every reason to celebrate on New Year’s Eve because 2018 will bring new non-stop routes around the world and, with them, the potential for lower fares due to increased competition.
For the first time next year, Hong Kong Airlines will employ Airbus A350 planes, and the rollout of the new aircraft comes just in time for a new non-stop route. This fall the airline announced plans to begin direct flights from both New York City (JFK) and San Francisco (SFO) to Hong Kong (HKG), scheduled to start in 2018. This flight option will join the other U.S.–Hong Kong route from Los Angeles (LAX) to the Asian metropolis. The price for an economy seat onboard the New York flight will start at $790.
In addition to these new services, Hong Kong Airlines will also debut its VIP Club Autus at Hong Kong International Airport, spanning 13,000 square feet.
