Finnair welcomes its first Airbus A350 WXB aircraft later this month, marking the delivery of the first of 19 aircraft on order to be received through 2023. The carrier will deploy the new aircraft on Nov. 21 on service between Helsinki (HEL) and Shanghai (PVG). New A350 long-haul destinations to follow include Beijing (PEK), Bangkok (BKK), Hong Kong (HKG) and Singapore (SIN). The carrier also plans to take the aircraft to New York (JFK) later this year, becoming the first airline in the world to fly to the United States with this new aircraft type.
“We are excited about welcoming the first A350 aircraft into our fleet, and look forward to introducing it to our customers,” says Ville Iho, chief operating officer, Finnair.
