A partnership between Delta Air Lines and CLEAR allows SkyMiles members to move quickly through airport security in New York (JFK) and Atlanta (ATL).
Delta is expanding its CLEAR service in New York, a biometric technology that simplifies identification checks and streamlines the security process. CLEAR members can verify identity in the CLEAR lane and then enter TSA PreCheck or general screening, depending on status, reducing the overall amount of time spent in security.
“We are constantly looking for ways to improve the customer experience from the time you arrive at the airport all the way through the travel ribbon,” said Gil West, senior executive vice president and chief operating officer, Delta. “Partnering with CLEAR is part of Delta’s broader innovative approach to helping customers get through security lines a bit easier.”
Shortly after the CLEAR lanes were opened at JFK, Delta announced the opening of similar lanes at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. The lanes will be expanded to Los Angeles (LAX) and Minneapolis-St. Paul (MSP) in the first quarter of 2017.
