A new report from Airport Parking and Hotels highlights current air pollution levels in 28 popular cities in 19 countries, revealing destinations where the general public may experience health issues due to high levels of pollution.

According to the research, Beijing has the highest pollution level, with an Air Quality Index of 328. This high level of pollution is considered hazardous for travelers and the environment. Dubai has the second-highest level of pollution on the list, with an Air Quality Index of 222, considered very unhealthy.

The World Air Quality Index advises visitors traveling to cities with an Air Quality Index higher than 151 to avoid strenuous exercises and activities, as the high level of pollution may lead the general public to begin experiencing health issues.

Cities considered to have an unhealthy air pollution level, with an Air Quality Index measuring 101–200, include Ankara (101), Kuala Lumpur (120), İstanbul (135) and Mumbai (155).

Paris, Venice and Madrid offer good air pollution levels in Europe, all with an Air Quality Index of 46 or below, while Amsterdam and London both average a moderate air pollution level of 66 and 77, respectively.

Bangkok has the lowest level of pollution, with an Air Quality Index of 18, followed by Washington, D.C., with 24 and San Francisco and Madrid, both recording a figure of 25.
