Germany’s Christmas markets draw visitors from around the world, so it’s only natural one of the country’s busiest gateways would also be home to an annual market.
Munich Airport’s Winter Market in the MAC Forum showcases more than 50 vendors, ice-skating and Bavarian curling on an outdoor rink and an extensive program of live entertainment. More than 40 bands and musical acts from the region take the stage daily starting at 6 p.m. Visitors also sample everything from traditional Bavarian cuisine to Asian dishes and hot mulled wine.
More than 400 pine trees and a 50-foot Christmas Tree transform the MAC Forum into a festive wonderland. There’s an extensive roster of children’s activities and revelers can rent skates to take a spin around the ice-skating rink.
The Munich Airport Winter Market is open daily through Dec. 29. Shoppers who arrive by car may park free of charge for up to five hours in the P20 garage. Parking vouchers are available at all Winter Market stalls.
