San Francisco International Airport (SFO) has teamed with the San Francisco Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals to bring the Wag Brigade to weary holiday travelers.
In conjunction with the SFSPCA’s Animal Assisted Therapy Program, Wag Brigade volunteers are roaming the airport with their certified therapy dogs. The program aims to offer a respite from travel-related stress by giving passenger an opportunity to interact with the dogs. Participating pooches wear vests inviting passengers to “Pet Me!” Each Wag Brigade pup is carefully screened and selected for its temperament and suitability for the program.
