In addition to several convenient new routes, British Airways ramps up its customer service with a premium dining and driving service.

The airline’s Premium Transfer Drive service ensures customers at risk of missing connections are able to reach their gate on time. The service is available to customers traveling on a U.K. domestic flight, who are connecting to either a short-haul flight in Club Europe, a long-haul service in Club World (business class) or First, or who are Silver or Gold Executive Club members.

A dedicated team at London Heathrow (LHR) will track customers, and when they’re at risk for missing a connection, the team will provide airside car transfers between one flight and the next. A message will also send to the inbound aircraft so the cabin crew can inform the customer a car will be waiting to transfer.

The airline also announced a new restaurant-style dining service this month.

The concept launched on flights between Heathrow and New York (JFK). Travelers can select their choice of freshly prepared starters and desserts from display trolleys, served by the crew on new table settings.

The starter menu features Loch Fyne smoked salmon tartare with wasabi crème fraîche; burrata and tomato carpaccio with olive oil and balsamic dressing; creamy butternut squash soup; and a fresh seasonal salad and grilled vegetables. Entrées include a Heritage beef homemade gnocchi; grilled Cornish Dover sole; and homemade artichoke ravioli. For dessert, customers can enjoy lemon tarts, DO & CO’s double chocolate medley, Viennese-style apple strudel or a cheese board complete with Somerset brie, Keen’s cheddar, Cropwell stilton, walnuts, grapes and fig chutney.
