British Airways and ClassPass created a partnership to help Americans maintain 2017 New Year’s resolutions. ClassPass, the monthly subscription service providing access to the world’s largest network of boutique fitness studios and gyms, is launching offers for customers looking to maintain New Year’s resolutions of traveling and staying fit.
A survey of Americans commissioned by British Airways revealed travel and fitness goals in 2016 proved difficult to achieve. Almost 30 percent resolved to travel more; however one in three did not meet their goals. Of the 61 percent of Americans striving to live healthier, more than half broke their resolutions. Regardless of the goal, about 60 percent said they stopped making progress after three months or less. Less than 10 percent said they keep their resolutions throughout the year.
The survey found eating right while traveling is important to Americans, as 34 percent said they look for airlines and hotels able to provide healthy menu options. On long-haul British Airways flights customers can request special meals like low fat, low calorie, low salt, vegan, gluten intolerant and more.
To help Americans, British Airways offers deals with flights, plus five nights’ hotel from all U.S. gateways with travel to London and select European cities. Offers that include travel to London (LGW, LHR) start from $689 a person inclusive of taxes, fees and carrier charges for travel from New York (JFK) including round-trip World Traveler economy airfare and five nights at the Tune Hotel, Paddington.
Travel to Paris (CDG) starts from $699 with stays at the Pavillon Monceau. Similar offers are available from other U.S. British Airways gateways to London, Rome (FCO), Paris and Barcelona (BCN) with various hotels. Book the deals through tomorrow for travel in February. Travel from March 24–Nov. 30 is also available at varied prices.
“What a better way to start off the New Year than to plan a trip to Europe and experience great culture, world class entertainment and terrific shopping,” said Simon Brooks, senior vice president, North American, British Airways. “With the strength of the dollar your money will go further, so there’s never been a better time to visit for those with resolutions to travel more and save this year.”
Customers who redeem the flight and fitness offers from British Airways and ClassPass will have the opportunity to take classes unique to London from a pool of more than 150,000 monthly class spots. British Airways customers new to ClassPass can redeem an offer for 70 percent off the first month of any fitness plans available from select gateway cities. Customers that already have a ClassPass membership can book fitness classes when traveling in any of the brand’s 39 cities, staying active while on the go.
