An article in today’s Boston Globe announced the pending launch of SURFSET Fitness: rooftop surfing sans the water. Founded by three New Hampshire natives — and showcased on a 2012 episode of ABC’s Shark Tank — SURFSET comprises a roster of four different 60-minute interval-training sessions. Participants move through a series of authentic surf techniques while balancing on land-based planks equipped with air-filled bladders and elastic suspensions. Moves include the signature surf “pop-up” and other surf-inspired postures — wave runners, shark kicks and duck dives — combined to create a balance of strength training and cardio.
