If you don’t like waiting in line with a lot of angry people, I would suggest you use a visa service. Over the years, I found One World Visas & Passports does a spectacular job, and you can rely on their services. Unfortunately, the Chinese government changed its rules, and you must use a visa service in your location. You have to check what that means, but when the Chinese government changed this rule, I switched to One World after previously using a service in Houston. If you log onto their website, you will note they offer this service for nearly every country that requires a visa. I think the charge far outweighs the value you receive in time and transportation, and you don’t have to deal with the difficult people at the consulates or those who are waiting for their passports!
