My girlfriends and I have been trying to plan a trip to Nashville for ages — the promise of good food, country music and a boutique hotel calling our names. That’s why I was delighted to read a feature article in this week’s WhereverFamily News e-newsletter that guides families and friends of all ages to must-see music venues in the city.

The list includes the obvious, like Grand Ole Opry, where you can get a tour and even look on stage if there isn’t a scheduled concert, to the Blue Bird Café, which spotlights up-and-coming artists every day of the week. For real music aficionados, Blue Room Studios is a live recording studio I would love to check out, as Willie Nelson’s newest album was recorded here along with new artists, although I don’t know if they actively do tours.
