Global Traveler’s 2014 GT Tested Reader Survey awards were held earlier this month at The Peninsula Beverly Hills. Half of the GT staff stayed at The Peninsula while the other half stayed at Montage Beverly Hills. After hearing some of my colleagues rave about The Peninsula, I must admit I was a tad jealous. Was there any way the Montage could compete with The Peninsula? Let me start off by saying, yes, it did compete. I have not stayed in many luxury hotels before, but the Montage was absolutely stunning. It is a newer hotel, so it does not have the history of The Peninsula, but it sure does have the beauty and the customer service. 
Montage Beverly Hills is nestled on North Canon Drive in the heart of Beverly Hills. Upon arrival, the hotel staff treated us wonderfully and accommodated any needs we had. It was Christmastime, so the entire hotel was decorated with beautiful seasonal touches. The rooms included a king-sized bed, mini fridge, flat-screen televisions (in both the room and the bathroom), Jacuzzi tub, spacious shower and great views of the hills. They even had my initials on the decorative pillow! I was blown away by the Montage.
