I had the pleasure of attending a ceremony in honor of Tom Stuker, United MileagePlus’s first 10-million miler. It was a great celebration, bringing together United employees, Stuker’s friends and family and members of the media. I had the honor of presenting Stuker with a lifetime subscription to Global Traveler. Please view the video of the acceptance by Stuker and my presentation, at the end, of a lifetime subscription to Global Traveler. The video was taken by frequent flyer Darren Booth. In his speech, he commented that United MileagePlus is the best frequent-flyer program in the world. It was great to see someone like Tom agree with GT‘s readers who voted MileagePlus the best for the past seven years. Throughout the room at the event, United displayed posters with phrases to bring home what 10 million miles means compared to other events. They really bring this to life.
