It seems like it was just yesterday there was pandemonium on Broad Street after the Philadelphia Phillies clinched the 2008 World Series title. It’s hard to believe that was almost six years ago. Unfortunately, the Phillies have been on a fast decline ever since that wonderful day in October. The past few years have been pretty troubling for the Phillies. I used to go to a lot more games, but lately they have been painful to watch. 
Recently, I did manage to make it over to Citizens Bank Park on a Sunday afternoon. As bad as they have been, there’s just something special about going to the ballpark in the summer, and sometimes they even surprise fans with a win! Yes, that’s right, the Phillies beat the almighty Cardinals 7–1 the day I visited. I still recommend going to Phillies games this year. They may be in last place, but sometimes you still see some glimpses of the 2008 Phillies. However, if you’re completely fed up with the Phillies, be happy the Eagles at least have a bright future. — Matt McNeal, account executive
