My previous blog highlighted stunning Hotel Bardo Savannah, the kindness of its staff and my breathtakingly beautiful suite. My stay at Hotel Bardo was so delightful, I thought it deserved Part Two, focused on the great amenities offered there.

After arrival and settling in our suite, we thought, “What better way to begin our vacation than catch up at the beautiful bar right outside our suite?” Bar Bibi followed the Mid-Century Modern aesthetic found in other parts of Hotel Bardo. Right next to the pool area, the bar had many pops of pinks, oranges and yellows, all vibrant colors with ambient lighting to match. It was truly a stunning outdoor bar. The day we arrived, Bar Bibi was actually closing for the winter season. In light of the impending winter season closure, Bar Bibi was hosting A Very Bardo Holiday party, exclusive for guests. Chloe and I just happened to arrive on the perfect evening!

The next morning we were off to our Thanksgiving Pie Workshop Class at The Cooking School at on-site Saint Bibiana restaurant. Neither of us had ever taken a cooking class or made any sort of pie, so we were excited to learn and experience a hands-on cooking class. The chef had already laid out all the ingredients and essential cooking supplies. We began with prepped pie dough from the chef and began creating the filling for the pumpkin and pecan pies. The chef gave us the recipe as well as alternate ingredient options to customize our pies. While the pies cooked, we took the time to learn to make pie dough from scratch.

The pies soon finished, and we were all impressed with how good they looked — they almost looked store-bought! Graciously, the chef asked us if we would prefer the pies to be packaged up and sent to our room since they still needed to cool.

The next day we decided to check out Saint Bibiana for breakfast. We were kindly greeted by the host and sat near a window. The bar was beautiful with touches of soft lighting and greenery along the top. Everything within the restaurant felt upscale and sophisticated. We both ordered refreshing caramel macchiatos, helping us kickstart the day. For food, I ordered avocado toast paired with tasty potatoes, a flavorful and light breakfast, … the perfect breakfast for the amount of walking we were about to do.
