2026 is the Year of the Fire Horse, and, boy, do I feel on fire! Born during the Year of the Horse way back when, I feel like I am finding my way back to my roots.
Saying yes, saying no, filling my cup and everything in between — this is my motto for 2026.
What does this look like for a girl in her early 20s?
Boarding flights, visiting friends and singing along to live music is all in store for this upcoming year.
My old college roommate recently moved to Denver, so the rest of us roomies are planning a visit in May. While we are there, we are going to a live convert at Red Rocks Amphitheatre — one of my bucket-list items.
The following month, another bucket-list item is being crossed off the list, and that is to see a concert at Wembley Stadium … not just any concert, but the one-and-only Harry Styles is set to take over London. Sparkles, feathers and bright colors — you name it, I’m wearing it.
Which reminds me … what should I pack for my weekend getaway to Boston to see Lady Gaga? A meat dress? A shiny mask to replicate her Poker Face? The options are limitless.
Looking forward to all I have planned in 2026; stay tuned for the highlights!

Jul 8, 2026Review: Hartwell House
In the library of Hartwell House, I checked the latest weather forecast on my phone. Most immediately, I made sure we had time for a walk in the 90 acres of gardens before the arrival of thunderstorms. I was also monitoring the next day’s weather, which was expected to break the highest ever June temperature in England. Through my smartphone, I benefited from a science that began, in its modern form, in that very room. There, in 1850, the Royal Meteorological Society was founded.
