This past week the Global Traveler team traded in our desks for palm trees and headed south to sunny Miami for the 13th annual Leisure Lifestyle Awards. In the true spirit of leisure and luxury, the GT team spent the evening before the award ceremony soaking up the Miami sun and jet-setting across the city on the bluest of water.

Accompanied by a lively onboard captain and concierge, we sailed by recognizable celebrity homes and beautiful million-dollar luxury estates, oohing and aahing as we admired from afar.

Complimentary beer, wine and soda flowed throughout the night while a beautiful grazing table offered a feast for both our eyes and hungry stomachs. Calling my name was the mix of cheeses and meat on the thoughtfully curated charcuterie board and the assortment of chocolate desserts.

Enjoying the views and each other’s company, this was an experience our team will never forget. We even surprised our colleague Carrie with cake for her birthday! Celebrating with a Champagne toast and a little dance party, we felt right at home in Miami.
