As a local in the Port Charlotte and Punta Gorda areas of Florida, here are a few of my favorite restaurants. Each offers unique vibes and distinct atmospheres. Check them out if you are nearby:
Starting off, we have The Twisted Fork in Port Charlotte. This is an ideal place for all ages looking for a casual, fun place to catch up and listen to live music (practically every night!) The Twisted Fork happens to be next to a Harley Davidson, which sets the mechanic shop vibe. Many auto parts and license plates are used throughout for decoration. The Twisted Fork has a huge outdoor stage where various cover bands play. The bands are typically an assortment of classic rock and country music. Every weekend they have huge events where many locals enjoy music, with select V.I.P. packages offered.

The Twisted Fork offers all types of food such as chicken wings, various pizzas and sandwiches. I personally enjoy the chicken wings and the various sauces offered with them.
The Celtic Ray is an Irish pub located in beautiful downtown Punta Gorda. This is a relaxed vibe with all things Irish throughout the pub and outside bar. This is place where you can set up camp with friends and not be bothered, as you will physically go up to the bar and order. This is perfect to catch up and enjoy one another’s company.

The Celtic Ray offers Irish-style foods and drinks. They have an assortment of Irish beers on tap, but as a non-beer drinker, I am not quite sure what all is offered. (Guinness is, of course, offered!) As a cocktail drinker, I can confirm many are offered and delicious. The menu has all types of Irish food for those looking to get their favorites or try something new.
88 Keys Rooftop Bar is a hidden gem in downtown Punta Gorda. The atmosphere is laid-back with a great view. I myself have only been to the rooftop twice (have to love the Florida rain). Both times I had a delicious cocktail while overlooking Charlotte Harbor and Downtown Punta Gorda. I have been told they have a fantastic menu with an assortment of great dishes. I am sure I will be back soon to try for myself!

This is a big year for Philadelphia as “The Birthplace of America” gets ready to celebrate the country’s 250th birthday, host MLB’s All-Star Weekend and serve as a host city for FIFA World Cup 2026. All eyes will look to the city with the big events this summer, but Philadelphia always offers a good time with its history, the arts, delicious food, and plenty of fun and sporting events.

Jul 13, 2026Review: Four Seasons Hotel St. Louis
ARRIVAL/CHECK-IN: After a late-night flight into St. Louis, I arrived at the Four Seasons around 1:30 a.m., completely exhausted. The moment I stepped into the lobby, I was warmly greeted by the front desk attendant, who checked me in quickly and efficiently. On my way to the elevators, I caught a glimpse of the stunning lobby which had a long stream of water flowing behind a glass wall paired with a unique sculpture. Even in my tired state, I knew I wanted to come back and take it all in during daylight.
