My husband and I always enjoy when new restaurants open in or around our town. Paloma Restaurante is the latest to open in Collingswood, New Jersey. We visited the restaurant with friends for brunch last weekend.
The menu boasts modern Mexican cuisine. We brought a bottle of sparkling white wine for mimosas, as the restaurant is BYOB. To start, we decided to share an order of guacamole. Topped with queso fresco and radishes and accompanied with house-made tortilla chips, the guacamole was the perfect start to the meal. With lots of options to choose from, I opted for the chilaquiles. The traditional Mexican breakfast dish consists of tortilla chips topped with salsa. Paloma’s version came with a rich green salsa, sour cream, avocado and pico de gallo, plus two eggs any style. I ordered my eggs scrambled. My friend also got the chilaquiles, and our husbands both ordered huevos rancheros. We all enjoyed our meals and plan to visit Paloma again.
